Bicycles for Champions

This annual event is held to provide Holiday cheer, bicycles, safety equipment and shoes to specially selected Broward Country children. The event includes an Intracoastal cruise aboard a luxury Charter Yacht, a buffet lunch while on board, a visit by Santa Claus and concludes with the presentation of bicycles and shoes to each of the selected children - INCLUDING a safety helmet, BSO approved lock, BSO license plate, backpack, T-Shirt, sneakers and water bottles.

The event includes the presentation of bicycles, shoes, the cruise, lunch, and a rumored visit by Santa.

Funds leftover from this event, are being used to provide holiday dinners to Broward County families that could not otherwise have them - with BSO and Broward Sheriffs Advisory Council personnel serving about 2,000 - 2,500 dinners in total.

Feeding the Needy

On December 22nd, funds left over from the purchase of bicycles, will be used, along with additional donations, to provide toys and dinners for up to 2,000 people.

This event, held in cooperation with the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), is a Holiday Treat for all involved, including the BSO Deputies, BSO "Posse", and all of the volunteers - but especially for the kids - each will have an opportunity to sit with Santa Claus and receive a gift as shown in the photos, below

Top Cop Pistol Championship 2015

The Top Cop Pistol Competition and Top Firehouse Cook-off were both free events for spectators and were held adjacent to each other at Markham Park in 2015. Firehouse Cook-off attendees had the opportunity to become judges for the People’s Choice Award, sampling the entrees and voting for their favorite. There was a kids’ zone with a bounce house, a fire truck that children can paint and snow cones.

We encouraged members of the public to purchase tickets to the Fallen Heroes Tribute Dinner at Ron Bergeron’s Green Glades Ranch, which featured authentic western barbecue, a full bar, live music, rodeo demonstrations, live and silent auctions, an extensive raffle and displays of SWAT vehicles, BSO’s helicopter and boats, exotic cars, motorcycles and airboats. Western wear was optional. Money raised during the weekend will benefit the families of Broward County's fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters.
