October 20, 2018 - Range Day, Markham Park

Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council members may register for Range Day to receive firearms training required for a Florida Concealed Weapons Permit. For those that currently hold a Concealed Weapons Permit, you may register for this event to practice your marksman skills under the supervision of a certified firearms instructor. Cost for the training is $65 and includes lunch.
Training will be held on October 20, 2018 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at Markham Park and is limited to 12 people. All registered participants will receive release of liability documents prior to the date of the class.

November 6, 2018 - Firehouse Dinner - BSO Fire Station 17
Please join us on November 6, 2018 at 6:00 pm for an evening under the stars with BSO Fire Station 17, 2308-A SW 42nd Street, Dania Beach, 33312. The evening will provide members and their guests an exclusive opportunity to tour the Fire House, gear-up in Fire Rescue equipment, and learn about various Fire Rescue assets. The evening will include dinner inside the Fire Station bay with guests from BSO Fire Rescue. This is a wonderful opportunity for BSAC members and their families/guests to experience a behind-the-scenes tour.

November 17, 2018 - Turkey Giveaway (Location TBD)
The Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council in partnership with BSO, will distribute 4,000 turkeys to families on November 17, 2018. Please make a donation to this wonderful cause and join us that day as we stand side-by-side with BSO deputies as we give back to our neighbors in need. Top donor will be invited to accompany Sheriff Israel as he distributes turkeys to unsuspecting drivers! Top ten donors will be invited to an exclusive event at a secret location! January 12, 2019 - Top Shot Golf Competition - TopGolf Miami Gardens
Please join us at 10:00 am on January 12, 2019 for the first annual Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council Top Shot Golf Competition. The event will kick-off with a continental breakfast followed by a golf competition at South Florida's premier new location designed to allow everyone, professional to novice, to practice their golf skills. Air-conditioned bays are designed to accommodate six players and each golf ball has an embedded chip that tells you exactly where your ball landed! Prizes will be awarded to highest scores. After golf, join us for lunch on our private terrace. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with our First Responders and join in some friendly competition.
Cost for each player is $125 and includes continental breakfast, lunch and golf. Hole sponsorship's are available for $500 to allow our First Responders the opportunity to join us free of charge. Your sponsorship will include signage and golf for one person.

March 16, 2019- Tribute to Bravery Gala - The Ritz Carlton, Fort Lauderdale
Prepare for a spectacular event supporting our First Responders! Please join us on March 16, 2019 for a Tribute to Bravery. This Annual Gala is the Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council largest fundraising event of the year and recognizes our First Responders - the men and women who risk their lives every day in the line of duty - for their bravery and dedication to our community.
The evening will be filled with exciting entertainment including a VIP reception, silent and live auctions, and dinner.
April 12, 2019 - Jailhouse Rocks BSO Detention Tour - Main Jail
The Broward Sheriff's Office operates the 13th largest local jail system in the United States, and the second largest to have earned national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections. The Department of Detention oversees all jail facility operations and community-based offender programs within Broward County. Annually, approximately 44,117 inmates crossing every ethnic, age and socioeconomic group are booked into BSO's jail for crimes ranging from civil infractions to murder. Many inmates arrive with drug or alcohol addictions, mental health problems, or both, requiring BSO to administer a range of medical and rehabilitative programs
See for yourself prison life, the entire process from prisoner's arrival to his or her release. Get an educational "life behind bars", tour of how BSO's Department of Detention operates. Make sure to dress casually, an orange jumpsuit will be your outfit choice for the day

May 18, 2019 - A Day at the Races - Gulfstream Park, Hallandale Beach
